WHERE IS THE SALFORD DISTILLERY LOCATED? +
The Salford Distillery is located at Arch 33, Viaduct Street, Salford, M3 7WX. We're hidden beneath the railway arches, just a 5-minute walk from Manchester city centre and close to both Salford Central and Manchester Victoria train stations.
IS THERE PARKING AVAILABLE? +
While we don't have on-site parking, there are several public car parks within a 2-minute walk on Blackfriars Street and in the surrounding Salford and Manchester city centre area.
WHAT ARE YOUR NEAREST TRANSPORT LINKS? +
The closest train station is Salford Central, and we're also approximately 10 minutes walk from Manchester Victoria. There are regular bus services along Blackfriars Street nearby. We're just off Blackfriars Street, a short walk from Bridge Street and The Lowry Hotel.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE DISTILLERY TOUR AND RUM TASTING? +
Our 75-minute Distillery Tour and Rum Tasting includes guided tastings of 4 of our rums, two expertly mixed cocktails, a behind-the-scenes look at the distillation process, and the story of how Salford Rum was born - rooted in the heritage of the Salford Docks. You'll also receive 10% off purchases in our rum shop on the day.
HOW MUCH DOES THE DISTILLERY TOUR COST? +
The Distillery Tour and Rum Tasting starts from £35 per person. We also offer a Salford Rum x The Black Friar package from £70, which combines the full tasting experience with a two-course meal at one of Salford's most iconic historic pubs. The Cocktail Club is available from £10 entry including a welcome cocktail.
CAN I BUY THE DISTILLERY EXPERIENCE AS A GIFT? +
Yes - all of our experiences are available as gift vouchers. Simply select 'Purchase as a Gift Voucher' at checkout. If you already have a voucher to redeem, choose your date and time from the live calendar first, then enter your 9-digit code in the Voucher Code box to clear the balance. Having trouble? Absolutely. We host corporate events, birthday parties, hen dos, stag dos, and private parties at The Dirty Old Town Distillery. Please use our contact form or email us directly to discuss a bespoke Salford Distillery package.
IS THE DISTILLERY EXPERIENCE SUITABLE FOR HEN PARTIES AND STAG DOS? +
Yes - the distillery is a popular choice for hen parties, stag dos, birthday groups, and team-building events in Manchester. Our intimate railway arch setting makes for a unique and memorable group experience. Get in touch to discuss private hire and group packages.
DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE? +
Yes, we strongly recommend booking in advance as places are strictly limited to keep the experience intimate and enjoyable. You can book directly through our online ticketing system on this page.
ARE THE EXPERIENCES 18+ ONLY? +
Yes, as our experiences involve rum tastings and a working distillery environment, all guests must be 18 or over. We operate a Challenge 25 policy, so please bring valid ID.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY? +
Bookings can be rescheduled or refunded up to 48 hours before the experience starts. Unfortunately we're unable to transfer bookings with less than 48 hours' notice. For any queries, email hello@salfordrum.com.
IS THE DISTILLERY WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE? +
The main distillery experience is upstairs and is not currently fully wheelchair accessible. However, please get in touch before booking and we'll do our very best to accommodate you.
WHAT IS THE SALFORD RUM COCKTAIL CLUB? +
The Cocktail Club is a bar night held at The Dirty Old Town Distillery. Entry is £10 and includes a welcome cocktail and exclusive access to the distillery bar. It's the perfect way to experience the distillery in a more social, evening setting.
