How the Salford Distillery Refill Scheme Works
It couldn't be simpler. Turn up at Arch 33, Viaduct Street, Salford during our opening hours with your empty bottle, and we'll refill it on the spot:

The refill scheme is available for our full range — including Original Spiced Rum, Honey Rum, Coffee Rum, Rum & Black, and Original Gin. Whether you're a regular who works through a bottle a month or someone saving an empty for a special occasion, you're welcome to bring it back.
Why We're Doing This
Salford Distillery is a small-batch craft spirits producer. We make everything in-house, by hand, at our distillery under the railway arches in Salford — and we'd rather our bottles come back to us than end up in a recycling bin somewhere.
There's a practical side to this, too. Premium spirits deserve premium packaging, and our bottles are genuinely worth reusing. Refilling them keeps more of the bottle's value in the loop and means less goes to waste.
It's good for your wallet. Good for the planet. And honestly, it's just a nicer way to buy rum and gin.

Our spiced rum range is what we built our name on. Distilled and blended here in the heart of Salford, each variant brings something different to the glass:
Original Spiced Rum — the flagship. Warm, complex, and unmistakably Salford. Vanilla-forward with gentle spice and a long, clean finish. Sip it neat, over ice, or in a dark & stormy.
Honey Rum — smooth and naturally sweet, made with real honey. The one people keep coming back for. Works brilliantly in a hot toddy or as a standalone sipper.

Our Original Dry Gin is a premium London Dry-style gin, distilled in Salford and built around a classic botanical bill. Juniper-led, clean, and well-balanced — it's the kind of gin that works as well in a simple G&T as it does in a more involved cocktail.

We're based at Arch 33 — part of the railway arches that run through Salford, just outside Manchester city centre. It's not a big, flashy venue. It's a working distillery where the stills are running and the spirits are made fresh. Come in, see the operation, and leave with a full bottle.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I refill any Salford bottle? Yes — any bottle from our current rum or gin range. Original Spiced Rum, Honey Rum, Coffee Rum, Rum & Black, and Original Gin are all included.
Do I need to bring the original cap or label? No. Just bring the bottle. We'll take care of the rest.
Is the refill the same quality as a new bottle? Absolutely. You're getting the same small-batch spirit, made in the same way, filled in-house. The only difference is the saving.
Is this a permanent service? We're running it now and plan to keep it going. It came back after a short regulatory hiatus — and we don't intend to let it disappear again.
